Renee and I talked while I went though all her fabric, and it turned out we had a lot in common. We exchanged numbers and have helped each other out on numerous occasions though out the past few years. Guess who happened to call last week with another load of fabric to go though!?!?!?! Renee!!
Grab an owl pattern or make your own. |
Trace the pattern on the wrong side of the fabric. |
Sew rights sides together leaving a hole at the bottom large enough to turn inside out. |
So Cute!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo creative with such fun fabric!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing ! Adorable, totally! You are super creative! And look at all that sewing you got done!
ReplyDeleteAH-dorable! So glad you're sewing again even if everything else has bit the dust, haha!
ReplyDeleteI am NUTS over these and NUTS over that green and white fabric. I know a Reevie who needs an owlie for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm smitten...of course;)
ReplyDeleteshel - you know I do!
Love 'em! :)
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and you have me hooked with your owls. SO cute. No, cute isn't good enough. Adorably-cute. There. That's better.
ReplyDeleteI made my version of your owl today but mine doesn't look as cute?!?! What did you do with the edges to make them look round or more like a pillow edge?
ReplyDeleteLoved your owls so much my daughter and I whipped some up yesterday! Thanks much!!

Really adorable owls! Makes me want to head to the sewing machine instead of going to work!!! Thanks for sharing! Going to pin!
ReplyDeleteOkay these rock. However... I'm a little "slow" at sewing... When do you see the eyes on? Before you see the two big main pieces together or after that? I know... Sad, huh?
ReplyDelete*sew and *sew... Apparently I'm slow at typing too....
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I will sew make this... lol.
ReplyDeleteLuved the owl- some ?? Did u use old quilt for backs or fabric??

ReplyDeleteSorry for the missing comments above, my computer has gone crazy.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say I love these owls. They are so cute and I can't wait to make some.
Thank you for sharing.
I am going to make these owls and copy the same design to a hair bow for my Grandaughter. I am also making her a owl quilt. Thank u for your inspiration here. Her room theme is owls. Imagine that. Lol!!
ReplyDeleteI cannnot figure out how to make the edges look raggedy or furry.... can you tell me how to do that? & do you machine or hand stitch on the eyes & beak???
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though she stitched around the outside of the owl, once it was turned inside out. I am thinking you have to sew the eyes and beak on before putting pieces together.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing, but I think it is the fabric she used on the back of the owl. It looks like she used looped fabric like towels, or even a small pile fuzzy fabric. Once the owls are stuffed, the fuzziness would show on the sides. The eyes, etc. are probably hand stitched on after they are stuffed. But there are a number of different ways they could be attached, even with glue if they are just decorative.
ReplyDeleteI love these owls!!
